Zumbini

0 months- 4 years

 

Designed for kids ages 0-4 and their caregivers, Zumbini combines music, dance and educational tools for 45-minutes of can't-stop, won't-stop bonding and fun.


Ballet

 

Classical form of dance focusing on body alignment, grace and precision of movement. Traditional barre work, center work with a focus on flexibility, athleticism and musicality is a large part of all ballet classes. *Pointe classes will be offered to students who are ready for the vigorous demands of pointe work-which is to be determined by the teacher. 


Lyrical

A style of dance which incorporates ballet and jazz. Usually danced to songs with very expressive lyrics, movement in lyrical tends to focus on the individual’s expression and interpretation of the song and choreography.


FUNdations

3-6 years of age

A great class for the beginners. We decided to create this class to teach the basics of ballet, jazz and tap to your youngest dancer - a 3-in-1 kind of class! This will lay down a strong foundation allowing your child to get a great amount of dance education but in a very fun way appropriate for their age!


Jazz

 

 

A fun dance style that relies heavily on originality and improvisation. Jazz dancing often uses bold, dramatic body movements, including body isolation and contractions. Ever evolving, Jazz dance is taught to allow dancers to come well rounded in styles such as Broadway Jazz, Musical Theatre and Modern Jazz. 


Hip Hop & Hip Hop/Acro

5+ Years of Age

 

A high energy urban dance class using a variety of music including current sounds of rap, R&B and pop music. The large variety in style such as freestyle, poppin' and lockin', as well as breaking allow for students to find their own niche in an always evolving form of dance

Hip Hop/Acro is combination class to include basic elements of floor acrobatics and hip hop.


Jumps, Leaps & Turns

 

This technique class helps students focus on jumps, leaps & turns which are used in various genres such as ballet, jazz and hip hop. Technique building is encouraged for the intermediate dancer and technique classes are taken along with genres such as ballet and jazz. These classes only focus on the techniques of jumps, leaps & turns giving your child an in-depth knowledge and allows them to strengthen these skills.


Contemporary

 

Contemporary combines the technique from ballet and the improvisation and character of modern dance. One of the fastest growing genres of dance, contemporary is a beautiful and powerful fusion of all different types of dance genres.


Tap

 

 

A form of dance categorized by using the sound of the dancers feet as a percussion instrument. Tap focuses on intricate footwork and musicality. Students can expect to learn the development of tap technique - using all parts of their feet - and terminology to strengthen their skills. There are various styles of tap including Broadway tap and Rhythm tap. 


Tumbling/ Acrobatics

 A class focusing on the basics of gymnastics - including floor work and tumble track. Students should expect to gain confidence in working to further enhance their gymnastics skills.
